Who ever thought denying the right to be a good citizen was
a good way to punish people?
It’s time to return common sense to
Virginia's voting laws!
HOST AN RVR PARTY ON THE
4TH OF JULY
(RVR = Restoration of Voting Rights)
Virginia State Senator Yvonne Miller and Delegate Frank Hall both have joint resolutions pending, ready to amend the Constitution of Virginia and restore the right to vote to former felons. Only Kentucky and Virginia deny this basic right to be a good citizen for life. It’s time to take these three steps and put common sense back in Virginia’s voting laws:
Step 1:
Pass the resolution to amend the Va. Constitution in the 2009 Gen. Assembly session.
Step 2:
Pass the same resolution again in the 2010 session of the General Assembly.
Step 3:
Approve the amendment by a majority of the voters in Virginia.
HOST A RVR PARTY ON THE 4th OF JULY TO SEND LETTERS TO YOUR STATE DELEGATES AND SENATORS, LETTING THEM KNOW THAT YOU WANT FORMER FELONS TO BE ABLE TO BE GOOD CITIZENS.
IT JUST MAKES GOOD SENSE!
If you are not at an RVR party on the 4th of July, please write your state senator and delegate
on your own, and ask your friends to do the same.
Yes we can!
Yes we will!
Please use this document to create an invitation to your 4th of July RVR party
by adding the details about your party, then emailing it to friends. J
